Behavioral Health Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the incumbent provides brief counseling/social work services to children and families associated within the Community Health Services at St. Luke’s University Hospital, and/or at selected middle school sites in Lehigh and Northampton Counties. The position includes data entry of client demographics as well as the administration of outcome measures or psychometric tools.

QUALIFICATIONS: The incumbent of this position must have a Masters degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a closely related discipline as well as at least two years of providing psychotherapy and/or social work services to children and families. S/he must demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic differences present among the Agency’s defined-services population.
