JOB SUMMARY: In collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the incumbent of this position will co-manage and provide care for the Agency’s outpatient clients. S/he will complete documentation in accordance with agency requirements as outlined in the Behavioral Health Policy and Procedure Manual and/or other agency documents.
QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires a Master’s degree from a board-approved nursing program. The incumbent must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing and hold a current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania. S/he must have at least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a psychiatric setting, providing care for children, adolescents, and adults with familiarity following Medicaid and Medicare regulations. S/he must provide evidence of collaborative agreements with two prescribing physicians, including prescriptive authority, or be willing to enter into such agreements with the agency’s physicians, and update the agency upon termination of any of these agreements. The incumbent must also practice sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic differences present among the Agency’s defined-service population.
