JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the BHS Office Manager, the receptionist greets visitors, handles incoming telephone calls, and assists with patient flow. S/he facilitates scheduling using the electronic health record and performs selected clerical functions.
QUALIFICATIONS: The incumbent of this position must have a high school diploma and proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office. S/he must have a warm, friendly personality and the ability to handle a busy telephone system as well as the ability to respond professionally to inquiries at the front desk. The incumbent must demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic differences present among the Agency’s defined service population.
