JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Transportation and Visitation Program Supervisor, provides transportation and monitoring of family visits. The incumbent must commit to accepting a minimum of two(2) assignments per month. S/he ensures the safety of children at all times and may provide families with education/coaching/modeling of appropriate parental behavior. Court testimony may also be required.
Qualifications: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in one of the human services and at least one year of child welfare experience. Must be at least 21 years old. S/he must be able to lift up to forty pounds and have an excellent driving record, reliable car and proper liability insurance on his/her vehicle. The incumbent must demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic differences present among the Agency’s defined-service population and adhere strictly to the professional social work standards established by NASW.
